(except for speed) as the IIcx, IIx and SE/30, it is the first Macintosh to use a special 68030 memory access mode called ‚Äúburst-access.‚Äù* Burst-access enables the microprocessor to read groups of data from memory faster than it does in normal-access mode, which results in a 10 to 15 percent performance improvement.
